Mysteries of Amarnath Cave

Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter - The cave of Amarnath, lying at an height of 3952 Mtrs. is a famous holy place of pilgrimage for the Hindus and is held in the same veneration as Mount Kailash in Tibet. The sacred cave contains a Shiva Lingam formed of ice, the size of which increases or decreases according to the position of the Moon. This tour is a combination of driving and trekking through this rugged terrain and test of ones skill and endurance. We drive from Srinagar to Chandanwari from where we start our 32-kms trek through the mountains to reach the cave. This is a tour not just to off reaching the Amarnath Temple but the journey itself as taken by many Indian pilgrims.

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi

Amarnath Travels Online Booking - After breakfast, guided tour of historic city of Delhi. The city where one can experience the influence of the many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The tour includes the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, drive through India Gate, President’s House and Connaught Place. Day 3 : Delhi – Srinagar (by flight)

Amarnath Shrine Board - Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to the domestic airport to catch a flight to Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar, you will be met by our representative and transferred you to the houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 4 : Srinagar – Local sightseeing (50 kms)

Amarnath Yatra Route - Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Overnight at houseboat.

Day 5 : Srinagar – Pahalgam (93 kms- drive)

Leave Srinagar by cars/coach 93 kms half day drive to Pahalgam (2440 mtrs) enroute visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Mattan Temple. On the way see some beautiful more villages. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the nature charm of the valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 : Pahalgam – Chandanwari (2895 M) (16 kms drive) – Sheshnagh (12 kms trek)

Amarnath Yatra Kashmir - Leave after early breakfast from Pahalgam to Chandanwani by cars immediately start trekking ascending towards Sheshnagh, which is 12 kms trek. Steep ascending towards Pishoo Ghati pass at 13000 feet. Overnight in tents at Sheshnagh.

Day 7 : Sheshnagh (3377 M) – Panchtarni (14 kms trek)

Start early morning for a steep ascent upto Mahagunas (The great viper at 3377 mtrs) then an easy descend to Panchtarni situated at the foot of mount Bhairva. Overnight in tents.

Day 8 : Panchtarni (3657 M) – {Amarnath (3953 M) 6 kms trek – Baltal 4 hrs trek}

Start after breakfast steep ascent towards Amarnath Holy Cave where you can see Ice Lingam. This is the holy cave for Hindus & thousands of people visit the place during full Moon day. From Amarnath steep descend towards Baltal 3/4-hrs walk. Overnight in tents.

Day 9 : Baltal – Sonmarg – Srinagar (113 kms drive)

From Baltal it is 15 kms drive to Sonamrg. Sonmarg (2690 mtrs) which is the most beautiful spot of Kashmir valley. Sonmarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Continue drive to Srinagar, which takes 3 hrs from Sonmarg. Overnight at houseboat.

Day 10 : Srinagar – Delhi ( By Air )

Leave after breakfast for Srinagar airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel for wash 'n' change and proceed to international airport for connecting flight to onward destination.
